"What were they like 30 million years ago?"
"Frogs."

If only the non-avian dinosaurs could mineralize like this.

Holy cow!, so much for "natural mummification", a real "tutakan-frog" from 30 million years ago (no one feared the curse of the "mummy frog's" legs)!

The eyes fossilized, I can't believe it, how did that even happen?

I'm surprised they didn't try to eat it. You're telling me the frog got mineralised, which probably enriches the taste, and they still ignored her?

It's amazing how it just had to be the right conditions and right time for this to happen and later be discovered by hairless hominids.

Frog? Hell, that's what's in Chicken McNuggets.

This amazingly preserved over 34 million year old fossil grants us a uniquely detailed impression if what this amazing extinct creature looked like. It's a frog and it looks like a frog. I mean we get this one in 300 million chance fossil and it's a creature that exists in an almost identical form today. Whoever is in charge of fossilization is such a troll.
