Got a saddle bag with spare tire, tools and a pump fixed to the bottle cage. Doesn't make me look flash on Instagram though. Had a double flat the other day, but at least here in Holland there's a Bike shop everywhere within a 3k radius.

I can't believe this was me TODAY, new to road biking, spent all my money on it and two sets of suits, helmet and lights. Flat pinched 35km from home, comfortable ride from your videos and tips though!

Running a tubeless set up for a few years now and thankfully have not had a puncture (yet). I carry type plug system, a spare splosh of sealant and a CO2 canister.
If that doesn't work then I'll be calling the wife for a lift as removing tubeless tyres at the roadside is a real no no! at least with my system anyway š

Yeah happened to meā¦managed to get 5 punctures, 4 in the front and one in the back tyreā¦.ran out of patches, co2 and patienceā¦there was no winning that day

Funny! In the group I ride with, if you can't change your inner tube as fast as a NASCAR pit crew, you won't be invited to ride anymore. At least they have the manners to hold your bike for you.

The last puncture I got destroyed my tyre. I never found what I ran over but it left a 1cm gash in my back tyre. Fortunately I was only 2km from home so I walked. I'm running tubeless and do carry plugs and a CO2 canister (not that I've ever had to use them).

I keep some of my long rides within a range of public transportation for mechanicals beyond a simple puncture. Calling my wife can lead to a much more humiliating experience than the actual incident. āļø

Spend lots and lots of hours maintenancing bikes and only 10-12 hours per week of kinda training)...this is bike mechanic lifešš)))) It is what it is
