Looking down the 1,000 foot cliff at Yellowstone Canyon. The top part of the precipice is a straight drop with a scary edge. Sometimes the edge gives and peolple fall off. A couple of years ago a lady taking a selfie got too close to the edge and the ground gave way, she fell down to a rock shelf and was hurt and unable to move but still alive. It was getting dark and the rangers couldn't get down to her with a stretcher until the next morning. By the morning when the rangers got down the cliff, a bear had gotten there first and eaten her.
