I recommend ohuhu markers for people that want quality art supplies. It's much cheaper than copic but just as good, still a bit pricey tho so save up a bit.

Definitely don't by copic markers if your just now upgrading. If you want high quality markers that act like comics but aren't nearly as expensive id recommend ohuhu alcohol markers :)

It's water based vs alcohol based so there are going to be some crazy differences. I would do this comparison with cheapo alcohol based ones to really see the difference in quality

they have different uses for me ^^ i use crayola markers for lettering, and i haven't had the chance to use any alcohol markers but i do know that they are for coloring, esp copics !!
so i hope u try comparing copics to cheaper alcohol markers ^^

I’ve found that the generic art markers from chain stores like JoAnn Fabrics and Michael’s are basically the same thing for a lot less. But buy the packaged ones, because the loose individual ones have been dried out and crushed by bored teenagers drawing on the shelves and signs with them.

I find using a Pentel Aquabrush as a blending tool makes Crayola markers work really well. You still need decent paper, but even cheap sketch paper works, and also allowing the ink to fully dry before blending
