I think these are true words. But after marriage that’s when the real work begins. You have to take the good with the bad in all things and you have to learn to live with things because you are two people and you won’t always agree. It’s a consent tending to the garden that is a relationship. Weeds will grow but pick them early or they will take over. Take care of the one your with, treat them how you’d want to be treated.
