I love these comments. Its poison ivy, no its poison oak, no its sumac. It for a fact is an old specimen, probably been climbing that tree for 20 years. Yes people, it is Western poison ivy and it grows all over the US. It grows all over the world to be Frank. Most people are use to seeing it as the young groundcover plant or larger shrubby bush.

Easier way to tell if its hairy and has no leafs its poison ivy (since english ivy also has anchoring roots but is evergreen where as poison ivy loses its leafs in the winter)

Ok I definitely had to google that and sure as shit it’s poison ivy. I’ve been a landscaper for almost 3 decades and I come across poison ivy a lot but I’ve never seen poison ivy that large. Usually it’s just a ground cover.
