I got to say, I don’t actually have a problem with the Catholic Church’s definition on this, and find it to actually be a good guide on if you need to go to confession.

Respectfully I think it would be more accurate to say that there exist a variety of positions on this matter in the Orthodox Church. I have seen the distinction made by certain theologians and I think there is a general understanding that there are sins we should go to confession for and those we don’t necessarily need to go to confession for since we are all sinners but Christ is infinite in mercy. The Roman Church just put a name to it.

No offense, but I think that usually catholics have more thought conclusions that if the orthodox church would've think about them for a longer period of time they would end up having a similar or the same conclusion. For example, in this video I clearly see that both churches basically the same idea just that the Catholics developed it a little bit more to make that distinction. But in essence they're not contradictory to one another belief.

Is it even possible to commit a sin with full knowledge and full consent? If sin is its own misery and enslavement, and rightousness is its own joy and reward, then aren't all sins a product of ignorance or a weakness of the will?
