Where’s the theme though?
You have 2Cellos put out a cover like Highway to Hell ft Steve Vai and the point was delivered.
When they did Thunderstruck, it came out a soggy mess of combining two ideas with each over which didn’t mesh well because they tried to emulate something the cello can’t replicate: distortion of the human voice at high registers.
Then there’s this. And other cello covers like it. It’s a performance, but so would be installing a blank canvas at an art exhibit, or a photocopy of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. The theme won’t weave if you don’t put your mind there.
