Honestly fair enough. Theirs also the possibility of AI copying your recap content, slightly changing the words and pumping out the videos because opinions are subjective but recaps are factual and often cover the same topics. You're actually really smart for pivoting so early on because you've began to build a wilder audience range that's interested in more uniquely human content rather than just recaps.
Plus their are many different areas you could go into in the future that still maintain the review/recap aspect of your channel such as reaction content or theory or merch unboxing etc...
Tbh I'd love to see you react to and crash out over the Steven Universe or Miraculous Ladybug lore, as Steven Universe has such a complex and surprising story (if you aren't spoiled), while miraculous ladybug has so many funny flaws that it confuses hardcore fans to this day, although season 6 has seen a massive jump in quality of both writing and animation

I understand your decision not to do anime recaps considering all the AI channels doing them, but I personally feel it’s better to have a human’s interpretation of how the anime is rather than a generic AI recap. So if it’s not too much trouble, would it be okay if you still did the occasional anime review? Sometimes I need more than just a bare bones recap of what an anime is about and need an actual human giving their thoughts and feelings on it, even if it’s just in a YouTube Short.
