Hmmm, that sounds a whole lot like an avoidant attachment style. Maybe you should start trusting a therapist. Real relationships don't "expire". Instead of running away, maybe when you sense rejection you should start a conversation. You sound like you're blaming rejection sensitivity on God.
God is not telling you to quit on people. Do you think God just walks away when he "senses" rejection? No. God always holds space for us, and we are supposed to emulate that.
