Only real OG's know to let the hose run for a minute to get the hot water out first 💪 I didn't grow up in the 80's but my parents did and that's where I learned everything from

I trust the garden hoses back then. Just little forever plastic or chemicals. Today different story... hooked up new garden hose and the amount of metal and debris that came out of it. 2020s' lower quality standards might kill faster than Oregon Trail

I’m an 80’s kid. I can attest that the only time that’s a bad idea is when the hose is brand new! 🤢

Theologically profound!

Absolutely! It was so refreshing and fun to squirt your friend while you were at it. We also washed the dog with the hose, now our dogs are washed with warm water in the utility sink or even taken to the doggy salon.

Grew up in the 50s/60s and we did this! …and survived!

My grandmother would lock us out of the house until granddaddy came home. Our only option was the water hose.

I was born in the mid 80's and when we were outside playing in the 90's we would sneak up to random homes to drink from their house if we weren't close to anyone's house lol. Always drank hose water when I was young 😂

💯 until I started hearing people preaching about Floride in the water to make us sterile or complacent. I still drink from the hose from time to time but my water tastes bad so I have to be very parched or I don't have time to clean up from doing yard work just to come right back outside again

I don't think I could do it in FL (so props Pastor Keith!)... but I grew up in HI and hose water was actually pretty good.

Best cold water, I didn't die from drinking it

As a 2000’s kid, I still do this

I'm 28, and between living in Oklahoma and visiting family/friends in Texas nearly every summer, I have absolutely done this with no apparent ill side effects. I think hose manufacturers know that people do this, so they try to not line their hoses with poison for fear of a class-action lawsuit or 17

I’m working a maintenance job at a summer camp and that is basically how I’ve quenched my thirst

Born in '92 and I've drank GALLONS of hose water in my life lol

I know that I'm a early 2000's kid here, but I did grow up using the hose a lot. I didn't drink out of it because my siblings would always put it in a mud hole.
