This actually explains a lot of embarrassing moments that werenā€™t embarrassing at the time but afterward I realized that I was being stupid or saying the wrong thing

ADHD also encompasses the unrelenting compulsion to annoy and frustrate others.

The "strengths" are massively overstated

I have ADHD and had my times of struggles growing up, but as I get older, I am content and with the love and support from my family and friend, Iā€™m living my best life and come to the understanding that this is who I am, I define ADHD and not the other way around. So, I do not see having ADHD as being a bad thing. To me it is a Gift! šŸ˜Š

I have to say having ADHD is the worst condition to suffer from because it really makes life so difficult especially when you cannot stay focused. I donā€™t wish this on anyone.

Being both an autist and ADHDer gives one the uniquely screwed conundrum of having moments of either doing things on impulse and sometimes regretting it, or getting stuck in a loop of overthinking.

When the parts align, it is a force like no other, but when they arenā€™t, itā€™s a particle accelerator of internal conflict. A sort of love-hate relationship with oneā€™s mental interestingness.

CPTSD is even more unpleasant though, so itā€™s sometimes a matter of perspective, but wow can they combine to make unpleasant memories a waking nightmare.

Guess how I know.

Yep. My daily struggles. I may not be chaos incarnate but I do hope that someday, me and other autistics and similar diagnosis will be more understood. We are just as capable as anyone else. All we need is more structure and guidance than others due to how our brains are.

Sometimes, when people ask me why I did something or why I won't do something, I tell them the my brain doesn't let me, because it really feels like it's not a decision that I made.

Thatā€™s pretty much every conversation Iā€™ve had in the past two years. Impulsively saying random things that I forget in the next moment, yet canā€™t forget when I reflect

I use to have all the signs of ADHD as a child, I even got expelled from my school due to my problems but I never got diagnosed. Even now 5 years later Iā€™m just NOW brining up the topic of being diagnosed and now Iā€™m now showing much symptoms of ADHD so nobody believes me and thatā€™s due to my depression overriding my POSSIBLE ADHD

Interestingly enough the impulsivity could also keep you in a bad relationship, with a constant cycle of saying yourself to stay despite all the flags. After all getting into the relationship in the first place was an impulsive act.

This basically describes intuitive personalities who have very low extroverted sensing (Se). Need for control, struggle with overwhelming emotions, addictions and motivation issues and difficulty in knowing how you come across especially targets the younger INFP personality specifically, but also can apply to INTP, and to a lesser extent ENFP and ENTP. Some of these behaviors may not mean you have a disability unless they become barriers to functioning well with others and society. Understanding yourself is the first step to learning how to find self improvement and ultimately self acceptance so that you can learn to accept others.
