Ok 2 things.
1. He is deliberately doing it terribly so you let him sleep every night.
2. He picks up the slack elsewhere. I breastfed and I would still say my husband put in the same work, he did changing a or took on some more of the housework. He put Bub to bed, or made dinner that night.

I have heard this from so many women. It is a game of chicken. Men will do it slowly and wrong. Also ask a gazillion questions until the woman just does it herself because it is "easier if I do it myself". The best way to do this is clearly define roles and responsibilities. Maybe have him change and feed on certain days so there is no confusion for who is doing what...then he cannot say he is confused.

Feigned ineptitude. It’s a legitimate psychological phenomenon. Exercised by weak and/ or manipulative people who want out of responsibilities. So glad I left my ex husband from hospital when my second was born so I didn’t have to go through the continued humiliation and abuse of a capable grown man straight up CHOOSING not to help his exhausted and ill wife.

Lol. I have 3 kids- each approx 2 years apart. IMHO, let Hubs do lots more for the 3 year old right now. They will bond figuring each other out and everyone is better for it. 😂❤
But yah, you gotta just roll over, feed the baby and go back to sleep for a bit longer, in my experience.
**Here comes the trite (but also TRUE) older mom advise that seems so out of touch when you haven’t slept for months: They only need you this much for so long and it’s such a special time. 🤍

My husband is a night owl and I am an early bird. He loved ending his nights with babies and me starting mine. He worked and I stayed home so I mainly took care of everything at home. No 50/50 of anything. It's tough to navigate and negotiate. I need later in life marital strategies!!

Bed sharing ans breastfeeding meant I could be back alseep in 5 mins. Something about breastfeeding and hormones meant I was fine waking every 2-3hrs as I never slept deeply.
