I try not to get irked at the evolution of language as certain phrases that are frequently misheard, misspoken, or misquoted form the new norm.

However, "could care less" drives me up a wall. It makes no sense. It is "couldn't care less," people.

Also, the truncated quote of "the customer is always right" being used to justify bullying of service people. The actual quote is, "the customer is always right in matters of taste." Those four words create a limitation that preserves the customer's choice without giving them carte blamche to treat service people like crud or for service people to feel like they have to take crud from customers.

you’re so valid for this it drives me up the wall as well because the difference is so easy! Monkeys have tails, apes don’t, it’s not hard to remember lmao

I also saw that show (we get it here in South Africa too).

My pet annoyance is "would of / could of" instead of "would have / could have".

And English is not even my mother tongue!

“expresso”, “sort of speak” (instead of so TO speak), and my all-time brain tweaker -
“I SEEN” 😂

Woah. Drives me absolutely batshit. I’ve spent my life with horses, raising, training, showing and reading about them, and the word is Whoa! Whoa, goddammit! Whoa!

Inaccurate decorational music notation.

Ha ha that is an excellent reason for me not to see that film. In films, the thing that unreasonably annoys me is inaccurate portrayal of drug use, drug overdose, and responding to overdose - and also just CPR in film and tv in general. It's always ALWAYS completely wrong. Those compressions should be 110-120bpm people! Pick up the pace!!

It annoys me when people use "asexual" to refer to someone who doesn't experience romantic attraction.

Apes together strong 🦧

For me, it's 'on accident' instead of 'by accident'. I know it really doesn't matter, but it just sticks in my craw every time it see/hear it

Wow! She has more time on her hands than me, but she uses it wisely fretting over nomenclature. Carry on.

I too get incredibly annoyed with this. Apes have larger brains and we do not have prehensile tail!
