The original America's Army, before the unreal 3 engine version came out, was so much better than the new one. It was hands down the best fps game out during its time. They had the best ranking and stat tracking system, and great competitive esports tournaments and leagues. Then the army fired the dev team half way thru production of America's army 3.0, because they were "taking too long", and we ended up with a clunky fucking piece of shit game, and the community was instantly dead after that. They could recruit like a hundred million dudes, if they would just bring back the classic AAO 2.5 or 2.8, and bring it up to modern specs with competitive esports focused game play. Maybe even a BR mode, and survival game, downed pilot rescue, they had some missions like that in the old game.
