What: The travel limit switch for the X and Z axis functions (I did a component test) and the circuits have good voltage. It overtravels in X and bumps itself up in Z a few mm which causes the first layer of the print to just be extruded into space. A calibration "fixed" this a few weeks ago, but now its a permanant feature of the printer.
When: a few weeks and a bit over a dozen prints into its life.
Why: Creality Customer Service asked me to video the issue and upload it to YouTube.

Hello, my friend. I experienced the exact same issue, and you’ll be surprised to see how simple the solution is. The problem comes from a minor mistake during assembly. You probably routed the extruder cables and filament tube through the support profiles. When the extruder rises during calibration, these cables get pinched between the support profile and the filament sensor. Due to the cable jam, the extruder can’t rise high enough to touch the switch. Realizing this took me an entire day! Avoid following the assembly video and connect the cables to the extruder outside the support profiles instead.
