I enjoyed this more than his last album, but I do wish it was a little less linear. He has pulled off similar arcs in single tracks before, so at this point I just feel like he is punching under his weight a little bit. Or maybe he's just not interested in the parts of his sound I used to find exciting anymore, and that's okay. When it comes to kinda spiritual post-techno, I think I'll stick to James Holden.

To me this feels like the culmination of his work. His process was uniquely suited to make this album, in other words it’s an album only Jon Hopkins could’ve made
