I understand his point, and he's not incorrect. We CANNOT prove for certain. It does really come down to belief, with that said, where did the universe, the animals, mankind, mountains, cells, mathematics, laws of physics etc all come from? I choose to believe the creation is so beautiful that it cannot be random, and believe that God created everything we see and has knowledge and power of all things. When you really look at the options and seriously think about free-will, and consciesness, and fitrah , you can understand that God is and was always the answer

Well, not necessarily. If the beginning of space-time and the beginning of the universe are concurrent, what does it mean to say, "at one moment of time, the universe came into existence?" If the universe and space-time began concurrently, the universe is eternal. It has existed for all time.

Time as we know it is a property of our space-time. Our model for time (based kn relativity) does not work in the conditions of the singularity. Without a working model of time, we have no way if knowing there was a "before". We do therefore not know if the universe had a real beginning.
