I like both cases.
About the story, at first I was torn because telling the truth would hurt the aunt's feeling and create drama. Then I thought that the aunt deserve to know the truth and the daughter doesn't have to cary such a big secret. So I would tell the truth but ask for the mother and father to be present.

i’d tell aunt eve. she doesn’t deserve to be with a cheater. i’d also have her play it off like she found out and not from OP. this would keep OP from being in trouble with her mother. i’d also continue a relationship with aunt eve even if my mom wasn’t friends with her
