There is this well known anecdote about a man who was drowning, and he asked God to save him. So, the 1st boat came and he sent it away, saying God will save him. He did the same with the second and the third boat. Eventually, he died, and went heaven. He asked God "why didn't you save me?" God replied to him "you damn fool, I sent you 3 boats." Obviously, the problem here isn't whether or not God sent those boats. It is deciding when to get out of the water.
