The second night of the Triduum is Good Friday. Join us for the Liturgy of the Passion at either 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. Good Friday is the only day that out of grief the church does not celebrate the Eucharist. The church is dark, and we begin in silence. The presider and ministers lay face down on the floor as the congregation kneels, remembering Christ’s Passion on the cross. The Passion on Good Friday is proclaimed from the Gospel of John who portrays Jesus as humble king. John helps us to remember that through the glorious cross, we are given life. On Good Friday, we also have time for adoration of the cross. The past few years, and few months, have been so difficult and dark. Jesus felt all of that on the day he died for us. Come join us in prayer on Good Friday as we honor and remember Jesus’ suffering and death.
