That’s not less aggressive, you just value flies less than birds

"Une pierre, deux coups" in French. "One stone, two strikes". We dont mention what or who dies 😅

That’s funny because we say that in Dutch too. We say for example ‘that is a good solution. And it’s two flies in one slap’

In german it's "Zwei Fliegen mit einer Klatsche" which is that same as in finnish

Wow! Fun fact, in Persian we say this idiom too. It translates as "hitting two signs with one arrow". Way less aggressive😂

Love the sound of Finnish. Pitty it is so hard to learn.

In my country we usually just shorten it to "2 birds 1 stone". There is a more aggressive version though "2 planes 2 towers Manhattan drift"

In Japanese it's 一石二鳥 which is "1 stone, 2 birds"

Being aggressive is a good thing in this case. You wanna eat the birds

In Polish this idiom is even better. It is "to roast two roasts on one fire".
Upiec dwie pieczenie na jednym ogniu
😎🍖

I prefer Kerry O’Keefe’s idiom: he’s an open-faced slapper

In german we also smash flies ("hit two flies with one fly swatter" or "hit two flies in one go", depending on the region), not birds 😂
