If you had asked me six months ago if I would ever film myself, my answer would’ve been a hard NO.

However, I started to get used to it little by little. That doesn’t mean I feel comfortable today—I still feel awkward, I get nervous sweats, and you probably won’t see me wearing gray in front of the camera much 🤪

BUT on the bright side, it has opened many doors to sharpen my filming skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills. There are so many more opportunities to grow, become more knowledgeable, and enhance my skills. That’s one of the big motivations I still film myself today.

Out of all the skills, color grading is probably one of the biggest obstacles I face. I tend to focus on finessing aesthetic skills, so naturally, I wanted to get better at this first. Little did I know, it’s a different game than editing photos.

For now, I’m just learning small elements one step at a time, and hopefully, I’ll develop my specific style soon.

Until then, you may see inconsistent funky-looking colors, so bear with me throughout my journey 😂

My takeaways here is that when you try something uncomfortable but that you are curious and interested in, do it. You will emerge from the experience as a better version of yourself 💪
