Excellent explanation. I was so happy that I will be in sriramgam on Vijayadashami, booked tickets much in advance etc, because I had read the entire 4000 Divya prabandam for the first time. but look at the irony, my husband and I both fell sick and we couldn't even get up from bed. 😢

As a sanatani I am deeply troubled by the idea that a pregnant Sita mata was abandoned in the forest by Ram, that too without any discussion or information. He simply asked Lakshmana to do the black deed after sunset. This is so much worse than what the mortal husbands of Panchali did. There Bhagavan helped her. Here it is God himself. To be known as an exemplary king was more important? She could have been given the choice of going home. She wasn't even asked. She on the otherhand chose to be an exemplary woman and mother and raised her sons in an Ashram. When Ram finally discovers it is this wife and sons, she realises her sons are safe and have their rightful heritage. It is not acceptable to her to go back to this Maryadapurushottaman and she asks bhoommi devi for refuge. As a woman She refuses to go back to Ayodhya where she could have reigned. The irony is he is Maryadapurushottam. I am deeply pained and confused at this treatment of a woman, a queen and Bhagavati herself in our epics/mythology: Valmiki's Ramayan

Excellent explanation about Chiranjeevi Hanuman--without the help of the Great Hanuman,Rama would never have recovered Sita --Rama & Sita's life rejoined on a positive note because of the Great Chiranjeevi Hanuman's selfless sacrifice & effort.
