While I love real estate investing, it isn’t always sunshine and roses 😅

So here are a few things that you’re going to have to deal with that absolutely suck 😂

1️⃣ Sellers

Sometimes sellers can just be a pain in the butt 😂 either being unreasonable about fixes they need to make to the home and concessions or just by being totally unresponsive which can hold up the sale of a home. Here’s wishing you a reasonable seller on your next home purchase ❤️

2️⃣ Contractors

Most real estate investors biggest complaint comes from working with contractors. It can be hard to find reliable folks to get the job done for you who aren’t going to leave you hanging or do a shoddy job. I’d highly recommend getting referrals from other folks to minimise the chance of them being a crappy contractor

3️⃣ Property setup

This is especially if you’re doing a short term or mid term rental. Property set up can be ALL CONSUMING and an absolute pain in the butt. The Amazon and UPS drivers will become your best friend and you’re never going to want to collapse another cardboard box again 😂 if you can pre-plan as much as possible to make this process go more smoothly

4️⃣ Bookkeeping & taxes

Y’all if you’ve been a W2 employee your whole life, you’re in for a rude awakening 😂 taxes are just so much more complicated once you become an entrepreneur and buy real estate. making sure you keep track of ALL income and expenses is critical. Don’t mingle funds. You have been warned 💀

5️⃣ Tenants & guests

While most are great, you will have a bad egg or 2 🙃

Even though real estate comes with its nuisances, I have yet to meet someone who has been in real estate for at least 5 years say man I really hate that I got started investing in real estate… what a waste 😂

Despite the challenges it continues to be one of the best wealth building and wealth shielding tools out there!
