I love that dessert so much. I had it in Southern Thailand. So Yummy. We bought a whole pumpkin with the delicious steamed custard inside. we went to the market to get it.

I taught culinary arts in a high school setting for 20 years and during my first year of teaching we were doing a unit on foods of the world where we would pick a country and go from a typical day of eating a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. On this particular day, I had just finished describing England's famous Yorkshire pudding and then moved on to the dessert. Being 100% English, I had grown up eating steamed puddings, of which my favorite was 'Spotted Dick'. As soon as I said it, I realized my mistake. The class took it and ran with it. From then on out it was "Hey, Mr. Mayfield, when are we going to make some 'spotted dick'?" and the class would go crazy with every possible corrupted variation. I became very aware of what I said from then on. lol
