My great uncle died on a skin boat trip from Russia to Alaska, he made the trip many times before, he went to trade food for tools or he would bring tools like skins and knives same the other way around trade you know

Those smiles weren't so last century. As it was once explained to me by a knowledgeable person, it took several long minutes of waiting for a photo, sepia, or deugeriotype to actually get exposed to make a picture. Can you hold your smile in place for 10 minutes or longer? It sounds like getting one's picture was rather uncomfortable.😕
