Maybe you'll worry about it less when you hear that I've walked into the wrong house before.
Pizza and beer in hand to visit a buddy of mine. Back then, I didn't knock either because we were super close.
The shock and confusion on my face thankfully made the lady playing with her baby in the living room laugh.

I do this all the time. I cannot identify my car in a parking lot. When i say all the time I mean weekly. I dont use my alarm because I am convinced I can find it.

my Lyft driver had a little white car in their profile and the sat nav said they were on top of me. To the astonishment of two random 20 something year old women, I open up the door to their little white car, the car closest to my signal on the sat nav.
I said, 'Uh...oops!' and dipped out of the backseat. They looked at me like I hopped in their laps.

I was told a story that took place in the late 50's or early 60's. A person saw their car drive out of a lot and called the police. While talking with the police about an hour later, the car returned. The driver had the exact same car, and his key worked as well. The driver took the car for an oil change and didn't realize it wasn't his car.
