Sam Shamoun exposes why in the bible specifically in the old testament when they were waiting for moses on the mount they got impatient and decided to worship a Golden calf . Most people assume it’s because they were influenced by idolatry but that’s not the case but because instead of being patient and trusting God after they got confirmation that he was with them leading them out of egypt they decided to call onto other Gods to save them and ironically that cow god was actually one of the Gods that they used to worship prior to being led out showing an example for christians to trust God

I just realized that this is prophetic of the great falling away prior to Jesus Christ returning. This makes sooooo much sense now.
Thank you God for this immediate revelation. I understand why their patience had to run out to show us that we must persevere.

The Golden Calf was a representation of Yahweh in the minds of the Israelites. That's why the text never gives this idol a name. Moses was the representative of Yahweh. But the people felt that they needed an intermediary since Moses hadn't come down from the mountain. So they create this idol of Yahweh to lead them. The text even says they had a festival to Yahweh after creating the idol. This is why Jeroboam in 2 Kings 10 created two Golden calves in order to prevent the Israelites from going down to Jerusalem to worship in the Temple.

This is the catalyst that began the 40 years in desert 🏜 to weed out the old generation that was still a slave to Egypt in their heart and mind.
God had a better plan, but they wouldn't listen or be patient enough for Moses to return

Hey Sam. It’s way more probable the idol was Moloch (a variation on Baal) a Phoenician god. The text doesn’t say it because every Hebrew knew that god in the region of the desert and what its cult implied: child sacrifices, as holes were carved inside the statue to burn infants. Imagine the wrath of Moses: several of the commands on the tablets violated at once.

1 Kings 18:27
At noon Elijah began to taunt them. “Shout louder!” he said. “Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened.”

THANK YOU For addressing this! I've meant to look deeper into it. I thought the cow had something to do with India but now I understand.

This is not just impatence. They are on the border of a land settled, with armies and forts. Women will lose sons and be widowed. Even after they will need men to till the land and hunt. They will need enough to conquer and still continue. The Golden Calf with an over sized male member is a potency idol.
So they offered it sacrifice and pleaded for it to give them children to replace losses. The separation of two groups probably went this way. Those dancing naked felt the impact of sharp shards from the shattering tablets and course. But those who maintained respectable behavior, stayed in their tents just a small opening for the calf to witness their offering of their population to the idol refused to repent and were swallowed by the sinkhole.

Baal and Molluch are also represented by the bull. The horns of the bull were, are a depiction of the bull to whom children were, are sacrificed. The crescent moon is also a depiction of the horns. What ideology today has the crescent moon as its primary symbol?

same deal with Book of Jeremiah, the people gave up on Yahweh and Jesus, and went after the host of heaven (star gods), and the leader of the host of heaven, Venus, the Queen of Heaven. These things are written for our education and edification as children of God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless you all!

But this only makes Aaron look much worse, if the golden calf was not YHWH but Apis.
How come HE was not punished?
