They sure don't want to hear it, Sir Leon, you are Absolutely correct 💯. They cannot face hearing the terrible things they've done to you. Bc they are in serious "denial" about being the bad guy. BC in their mind they're the good guy and you're the bad guy. They wanted to break up only for a time while they are in their addictions, and or grooming their new "perspective" SUPPLY. They're not breaking up w you for good, just putting you on ice for a minute while they are in their secret life until they're ready to come back to you. Remember it's their game, and they make up the rules ..you don't! So when you are the one who breaks it off they are very angry with you bc you've taken away the control/power they had over you. Understand, these ppl are control freaks. And they are not use to having the other person call any shots whatsoever, so this angers them greatly and they will indeed seek vengeance as if you are the one trying to hurt them, when you're simply tired of getting abused and need to come out of the relationship so you can heal and take control of your own life. But they actually believe you are the bad guy for leaving them, is what they feel like. So no matter how badly they've treated you in that situation ship they still believe you should stay bc they don't believe they really did ANYTHG bc they are in such deep denial of what a terrible person they've been to you
