My theory at least for the city that is on Ruidus is that it's Molaesmyr. We don't know a whole lot about how the city was destroyed, but I feel it would be a plausible reason why Ludinus is involved, since he's from that city.

My latest moon theory is that at some point one of the possible plans to free the prison moon will also possibly destroy the divine gate. Those planning the 'freeing' either don't believe this or think the odds are worth the risk.

Still clinging to my theory that Ruidus has something to do with Blightshore and the Corespawn that infest it, since it is, ya know, a giant hole in the ground.
Maybe an Elder Evil that crash landed before the Dawn War that the gods had to ice cream scoop out of the land. And ya can't just let something like that go in the woods out behind your house.
Also, Luna, have you ever heard of the YouTube channel Local 58? The Skywarching video is, thematically and of a tone with this current arc. It's quite spooky.

I've been seeing this theory being tossed around reddit and I gotta say I kinda like it, and I wouldn't put it past Matt to pull up some old lore like this and re-skin it for CR. Would be a cool way to make gem dragons canon in Exandria

What if the reason paragons call is working with treshi and being involved the forces looking into rufous is because they are with the raven queen
A the raven queen also wants to learn about these gods wanting to collect knowledge
B wanting to pull a double agent learn their plans and then stop them from releasing the gods or messing with the moon

Remember the stone that said curiosity on it! I wonder if Matt was referencing the martian rover of the same name. Perhaps the nightmare king has or is planning to send his mechanical explorer to exandria's red celestial body?
