One thing I have noticed is (from other interviews) the young people who perhaps have been touched by the west. Have a different view of what is happening. Where as the older generation who are from the Soviet era are like this lady.

The Russians are very religious and, given how persecuted the Russian Orthodox Church was during atheistic Soviet times, that they remain so today must clearly show us the depth of religion's grip is on the people.
