Lol @ "extreme insurance stress". I'm 45, never paid a cent of insurance for anything. Do they know it's actually optional whether you give take the insurance gamble?
Of course, I live a modest life, I rent and my car was free with some repairs I did myself, so it owes me nothing, the public health system is good and I keep myself healthy. One of the gotchas of diving into a material competition with everyone else is that now you are afraid of losing what you spent all that money (and ultimately all that precious time) on. If I scratch my car it's annoying, but nothing like the emotional catastrophe marring the gleaming paintwork on a new 50k wank box without that bloody insurance. I may not like renting, but my landlord can deal with insurance for his investment. People need more balls to vote with their wallets and tell the insurance companies to screw off until they lower prices, just have an emergency account instead.
