The trim is just tacked in place with a couple of finish nails. You remove the trim install and flash your window. Make the siding guys come back when the trim needs ripped to fit once the windows installed😂

I imagine you casing out sites and timing workers for their comings and goings so that you can plan the best opportunity to run in, film yourself casting judgement, and get outta there leaving no trace.
Well, no trace until they see their handiwork on YouTube, 😄...

I mean, it can be done. They have windows that are in stalled with their own frame that’s meant to lay right on top of the existing frames. Typically that’s meant for window replacement/remodeling but I suppose, they could very well be just using themon new construction as a baseline now. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Or it’s just easier for them to install the frame and make it the window installers problem rather than risk damage or loss by letting it sit around. Either way a finishing carpenter has to come and make everything pretty at the end. I imagine window trim being one of their responsibilities.

Edit: also, it looks like there’s just one side of trim put it, almost like they realized that’s not a good idea after installing that one section. Either way it’s not the worst thing I’ve seen in new construction.
