Insider trading should apply to EVERYONE. Congress has its own separate resources for retirement (not part of Social Security) AND its health care. They will never face the impact of their decisions like their constituents. It's gross.

Restrict Congress from stock market is way overdue. They already have better health insurance than most Americans, and Senator salary $174,000/yr plus allowances for staff, travel, etc.; house reps make the same with additional allowances as well. Average American salary is $64,000 (depending on education, location, etc). Congress gets a hell of a lot more time off, too, compared to the rest of American workers. Term and age limits should also apply, imo.

You should have educated them about the emoluments clause and blind trusts and how all presidents and administration but one followed that to give the appearance of transparency

This is the problem with putting Congress in charge of their own rules and pay too. They vote themselves raises constantly meanwhile wages for the average American have stagnated with minimal improvements for decades.
