And I understand that this requires entry through the back pushing the muscles aside. When combined with a laminectomy, how long does this surgery take to complete?

We donāt do this in the UK anymore. Outcomes are poor and many are left in worse pain than before. Ablation of the BVN nerve is probably a superior treatment for axial back pain and far less invasive.

I had the surgery a little over a month ago, and im still in so much pain. I feel worse pain in my back than before surgery. My dr refuses to give me meds after the first week of being home. I was positive and excited to get get it done, but now i feel it was a mistake. Mine was three hours surgery.

How do the rods stay in place? I donāt see anything on the video that shows a flared and on either side to prevent the rod from moving.
Iām waiting for a date for my disc replacement, but we arenāt taking the fusion off the table until my surgeon is in there.
