I have longed for a place that feels like home, and new friends/family and a partner for most of my adult life. Star Trek has nearly always been a comfort. I seem to want to be a homebody, yet I'm not quite satisfied there. Maybe I have a version of the wanderlust, the "itchy feet" that my grandpa had, but in some different way. I don't know if I'd feel home on a ship at sea, or a starship, but the romance of it appeals to me.
