Let’s be clear here: this does NOT excuse Virtue’s performance at SI. He had a right to be kicked if the team wanted to enter a rebuild stage after bombing out of SI.
(edit: When I say rebuild, I mean 3 or 4 members leaving the team and the team focusing on a specific player as their main focus. In Secret’s case this would likely be Jume, not Virtue if they were to do this)
HOWEVER, this doesn’t excuse the manner of which Team Secret’s CEO handled the situation (especially if Virtue was kicked for crying), which was absolutely appalling.

For more insight just for funsies
The some r6 player is virtue
Debatably greatest Au player of all time
He was often known as a Agro fragger with crisp mechanics back on fnc.
In fact on the fnc roster days he beat G2 and empire at one Si event in a era where APAC was written off (Empire and G2 top 2-3 days at the time)
After fnc run was over Virtue joined G2 in a super team project. 5 players with insane fragging potential. The catch. All 5 players were IGLs too. To no surprise this was a horrible fucking idea
After years in the trenches being written off.
G2 did the unthinkable and completely rebuilt the roster. Goodbye to the old goodbye to the new welcome Alem4o, Doki (he’s been here for awhile ik) blur and Benja. As well as former G2 player turned coach Fabian (the greatest of all time)
This team did horrible.
But after one inspiring time out where Fabian basically sounded off on the boys.
G2 did the unthinkable and from lower bracket round 1 went to the finals and beat the favorites of the finals 3-1. And guess what. Virtue was the only player who survived the roster changes. Not because of mechanics, no no no, but because he has a skill not many players have
Being cool, calm, and collected on every situation.
As time went on g2 miracle run ended to stomp at the next Si where g2 said goodbye to ImO one of the best players of all time virtue… in a shock transfer to team secret where imo his guidance and leadership (and being a fucking vet) helped ignite a flame in the young Team secret roster where tbh up to some points looked like the best in Eu.
Sadly pressure breaks all. As Team secret core couldn’t keep composure in clutch moments. In a shocking events neither did virtue. In the o picture the CEO shared was something I find disturbing. Virtue a veteran of the game shamed for showing emotions… the bloke is a legend. He carried the Aussie scene for years.
At the end of the day virtue is a young crisp shooter (30) and can change the trajectory of any team.
Thanks for reading if you did
TL DR
Virtue is a legend of the game who brought fame and glory to au and Eu…it’s a shame the secret CEO couldn’t see pass one picture

If you put your passion into something, with a group of like minded friends whose passion it also is, and it just completely fails, you’re going to get overwhelmed. Many men will probably cry, it’s not unusual. Just means they actually care. These are the players you really want the most. As a ton of people mentioned already, just look at Karrigan.

Crying over something like that shows the passion they have for the game. Nothing to shame. Just jealous or uneducated people trying to hate on success
