Even though the 7950x goes about a 50/50 with the 13900ks. And generally only gives a much higher performance at 1080p and 1440p. Biggest advantage is how much less power it uses compared to intel's flagship while offering almost, the same, or even more performance. Not to mention it's easier to keep cool. Intel's too busy trying to squeeze as much out of current designs while AMD is branching out into some seriously impressive new ideas that are definitely paying off.

This video is a little misleading. Gamers should wait for the 7800X3D. With the 7800X3D, you won't have to worry about how the game or OS prioritizes the CPUs (only half the CCDs in the 7950x have 3D cache) and it won't have as much latency. The 7950X3D is more of a hybrid gaming/productivity CPU. It should do well in productivity since the cores clock higher but for gaming the 7800X3D will be significantly better.

There are games that takeadvantage of 3D vcache Factorio being the most famous example but it does help with other games too but sometimes it doesn't and you need that extra frequency.
The reason two sets of 3d vcache doesn't help is because games are so lightly threaded they only ever use one CCX

This is actually perfect. You have speed for both games and doing things. Honestly. The best of both worlds!
