There is no evidence that supports this story and plenty that disagrees with it. But even if you believe it is true, please consider the sequence of events you then must accept.
The story of the Tower of Babel takes place only a century or so after the Flood. How many children and grandchildren can 4 women bear in a 100 years? Enough to produce a society capable of great building projects? Of course not. The tallest structures we find in towns with a few hundred or a few thousand inhabitants are church towers or minarets. How could the almighty creator of the universe feel threatened by such a puny edifice?
Also consider that this almighty God had just wiped the earth clean of all the sinners who defied him a hundred or so years ago, and now, even before there are much more than a football stadium full of them, they are again defying him. That means that the Flood was a failure, and this God is not all-knowing. Or if you believe he is, it means he is cruel to the point of being evil.
Can you see the holes in this story? With the Flood only a 100 years ago, people must still have been wading in mud, because we know mud doesn't turn to stone in just a 100 years. And of course Noah was still alive when the Tower of Babel was supposedly built. Didn't any of his grandchildren think to consult him? Where is he in the story?
