It's not a flaw, it's a design feature.

Gary is 100% right. This has just happened to America with Trump’s re-election

Its the same problem here in Germany with the popular center left parties „SPD“ (social democratic party) and „Bündnis 90 die Grünen“ (the greens).
They have formed a government coalition with the „FDP“ (neoliberals), which blocks new tax measures for the rich in every possible way.

This in combination with new regulations, which increase the price of everyday expenditures, like food, housing and energy, creates an atmosphere of distrust and frustration in the general public, but especially the poorest (and most vulnerable to the increased prices), against the current government. In the next election we will witness a disturbing resurgence of fascist ideology in the „Bundestag“ (parliament).

If the price increases would have been countered with higher taxes for the richest,
this atmosphere could have been prevented.
Many saw it coming from miles away, but it seems that the government was blind to this possibility.

Yes, seems inevitable due to the community voting for people owned by corporations.

The Economist said the same thing a decade ago, in the context of rising stock markets (at that time). The poor don't get to participate, discontent grows, populists/fascists take advantage

So far you 100% right. Only time will tell but we all know he is right and it's scary.

This is a terrifying but objective and chillingly real risk IMO. The most terrifying bit is how few people are recognising it, let alone addressing it. Its drowned out by the red-rag red herrings of culture wars and immigration.

I like to say the most important economic health metric is not GDP, but the GINI Coefficient!

A great and simple statement of the issue. Now will folks like Starmer start to adopt this message and communicate it? What could be a better shift of orthodoxy post-Thatcher?

Fascism but with corporations in charge instead of elected officials.

Dude’s 100% right, Keir Starmer recently said that “things are going to get worse before they get better” which basically means they’re not going to do anything serious anytime soon
