The debate of all debates! Flint seems to like stretching our knowledge just enough to shut out anything he doesn't want Hancock to be able to employ. But it's mostly smoke n mirrors. More to come.

Ego,
Pride.
Contempt prior to investigation.

Keeps a man in perpetual ignorance.

Why is Flint so closed minded?

Domesticated pigs vs wild hogs. I know it's not plants, but it illustrated how quickly feralization can occur

How dare you question Professor Drivel.

Damn I wish graham or joe were able to bring this up when the debate was happening. It was a big question mark for grahams argument of previous agriculture

Apples must be taken from cuttings to get a specific type of apple. if grown from seed it will be completely different. how can they think an annual plant could persist for a thousand years before it changes?

This is so stupid. The domestication time for different grains is vastly different. Same with animals.

domesticated pigs to feral hogs is a perfect animal comparison or even foxes being domesticated

Joe asked "how long would it take to revert to the original state" as in, the state prior to domestication. You are correct that some or many traits of domesticated crops return in as little as 100 years for some species - but that's not what Flint is saying. He is stating that it takes thousands of years for ALL domesticated traits to disappear in the wild, which seems to be inline with our available genome testing on relevant seeds and other plant material. We would see some evidence in the genome of various plant remains had their been prior domestication before the earliest evidence of agriculture.

Mainstream history - Gobekli Tepe is an impossible construction to exist, there were only hunter gatherers. Finds Gobekli - oh yeah hunter gatherers could build that…. Is it that advanced

Dude, there is no actual evidence though. Graham kept saying “you have only looked at less than 5% of the ice area, and Africa, and whatever”, but that isn’t a very good argument. Saying that Flint has to prove a negative is ridiculous. Graham should have some killer evidence to support such a wild theory, but I watched the whole 4+ hr debate, and he didn’t provide a single price of real evidence. It was shocking.

It’s easier for him to lie about what he said rather than admit he was wrong, bad character

Ah well because he’s not a plant specialist, I guess I’ll just go on and believe in Atlantis and aliens then. Thanks mate.
