Any tips for adding drip edge to existing roof? Kind of tough to get that ice and water shield peeled back.

Or do a metal roof. Done. No shingle repairs every wind storm.

Does tar paper goes under the flashing?

In northern regions where gutters get ice dams it's better to put your eave flashing on top of your ice and water shield membrane.

I never double starter in the same spot like that, seems it would flatten out the shingle more at the edge where you want run off. Just but up the rake and bottom starter.....which may not be best

But you know what is best????.....1inch strip of tar at the edge to glue down started all over. I seen that done on roofs and after high end storms they were fine and the ones next to it lost strips of shingles because the starter wasn't tard down

It doesn't matter if you put your drip edge on first or after the paper on the eves! If your tar paper is keeping your roor dry under your shingles you have problems.
