Sure, they may have written about atlantis first, but they weren't influencial as Donnelly. Thats why hes considered "the father" or the whole thing. Neither kan claimed he came up with the idea. They just said that he was the one who influenced the fervor. You didn't dispute what the guys actually claimed.

Kinda unfair to say, by that logic Plato would be the father as he was the first to write about Atlantis. Sure the guys you mentioned certainly wrote about Atlantis before Donnelly, but it was Donnelly’s book that got the general population interested in it.
