One thing I forgot:c++ brings you closer to the machine, and you get less obsessed with "coding". You start to see programming for what it is: changing the state of the machine ie of the computer.

Why does uncle Stef dislikes c++ so much? Some of us have a specific eay of learning:I couldn't understand anything in those easy languages. I had no idea what web developers were saying. My older brother, a javascript and php dev tried to teach me frontend. All I remembered was word salad:html, css, js, drupal, joomla, bootstrap, less, saas, codeigniter, laravel, cms this and that, wordpress, yadda yadda yadda. I almost gave up on programming. Until I came to c++ for knowledge and understanding. Writing pong game in pure terminal gives you better understanding than making portfolio website. Progrmming is not like learning kid songs out loud in elementary school.

Yo Stef! Make a video about which language to choose to become the worst developer ever. There is planty of people who are wondering which language to choose to became the best developers and they always get the best videos which is not fair. There is maybe a small group of people who wants opposite and struggling to find answers because they are forgotten by everybody. This channel should be about diversity and helping everybody.

Dont bother learning C++ : It won't stop you from programing, an etch a sketch wont stop you from drawing ether. But I prefer not being locked into someone elses framework.

the past 6 months I've been learning C++, and I've solved about 600 algorithmic problems and small projects, and I made a banking system project, and I can comfortably say I can learn any programming language in 2 days, and know how everything works in the background, not just using functions from libraries and don't know the logic behind them
