Which one looks better on me? I’m pretty average at both. Which one should I become brilliant at?

I use both...
2 hander when hitting high or deep balls.
1 hander when hitting attacking shots at normal height.

The one handed looks more natural, the two looks more awkward. Always good to know both.

Very easy to understand the backhand mechanics with this natural swing

One handed is smoother - looks like you have a bit more whipping at the tip with the one handed.

As someone who started with a 2 hander before switching to a 1 handed backhand, go with the 1 handed. It's just so much more fluid than the 2 handed

The one hander. It's more graceful and economical. But the ultimate judge as to what works for you, is you.

Used to do two handed BH. As I got bigger and my shoulders became wider, I switched to one handed BH. Feels more natural compared to two handed which is awkward to do now.

Completely situational

One. Need to work on top spin, brushing the ball vs just striking it

One hander of course. Nice and simple, smooth and beautiful.

Whatever works better and gets wins period the one hand it takes a long time though I've been playing since I was 6 years old, it doesn't happen overnight.

Both are beautifully done. But I suspect you’re more a SHBH guy ? since you can take the ball on the rise and your DHBH is missing a bit of ulnar deviation & racquet head drop just before it moves forward.

If you can get acceptable top spin on a one handed backhand, it's an easy choice. You can get more power and disguise your shot more easily with a two-hander, but at the sacrifice of reach. It also requires more effort in positioning. I started with a one-hander as a kid 50 years ago and could never quite get acceptable topspin. Way too late for me to learn a two-hander. Most of my shots are fairly flat.

I tried a two-hander a while back and earlier this year. The ball went straight to the ground. It is true when they say: "you cant teach an old dawg new tricks", especially a 69-year old one.😳

For you, one hander backhand;as a coach I recommend that

i feel like two handed is better to start out but for you i think one handed is better... i think it flows better
