I got mine once I got the musket I think. All though I was past level 9 before I captured it, you can get a high level jormuntide ignis from sanctuary no. 2. Pretty easy to cheese if you have a couple high health pals and just throw them down at the bottom of a ledge while shooting it with arrows or bullets

I got my huge dragon egg in the abndoned mine on the volcano before the dragon boss i forget his name. Incubated it, was too hot so i disassembled one of the fires i had...also dleted the incubator with the egg being finished so i legit lost him. So pissed

Another problem is it's huge body makes him very glitchy in bases. It gets stuck, 70% of the time.

I got mine from Huge Dark Egg, from the same location, wonder if that was glitch.

I think full condensed Ragnahawk is better though. Don't get stuck, can breed relatively easy with all the work passives.

You do not want it, it's to big and patching is joinky. Will get stuck everywhere.

The problem of it is not difficult to get, but its size making it to stuck on many things in your base, and its animation while doing anything is annoying af.

Go to the back of the volcano towards the top it's the only black and purple egg up that high Guaranteed to be there off the start in everyone's game texted it in multiple worlds and in friends world π
