I’m a Ford Tech. I see this pretty often. Water is “supposed” to enter the inside of the door. Behind the door panel, you’ll have a protective sheet that has an adhesive material to prevent the water from getting into the inside of your truck. However, you have 2 square openings at the bottom left and right of your door that’s supposed to drain the water out. Sometimes there’s debris at the bottom, preventing proper draining. We usually leave that rubber grommet out (that you addressed) because it’ll keep happening haha.
