Honestly, the combo of having to wash and dry the bowls after and still having to peel your garlic has made this a failed hack in my cooking arsenal.

U can make it 90%+ by changing few things.
1. Container shape. Use a longer container, not just bigger. Maximize the distance traveled by garlic.

2. Container materials. Use softer materials like plastic. I experimented glass, metal, plastic. And plastic works the best somehow.
3. Use 1 container with lid so u can shake it faster.
With above 3 tips, it's about 70%.
4. Cut the top and bottom of the cloves before. Those areas are what's holding the peels together. If u cut them, they WILL come loose.

I'd rather go the MUCH EASIER Gordon Ramsay knife pounding method.

Much more effective in a large long jar and it works about 95% effective bigger the Klove, the better the reaction in the ones that don’t become completely peeled peel incredibly easy they fall out of the skin

Flip the second bowl over and give it a squeeze. Then do the shaking thing. (:

This is only helpful if you have multiple machines doing this for a lot of garlic.
