honestly this is part of the reason why I began knitting. I didn't want to fall into this trend of constantly spending money on clothes I might wear once so instead I invest the money in yarn and try to make something that is trendy like those off the shoulder sweaters. If I fall out of love with it I can always unravel and reuse the yarn for something I truly love and if I stay in love with it I have the good feeling that I hand made it and not some child in China.
Love the message you are putting out here

Getting out of that state of want is so hard, I’m not gonna lie, but I love this message! For those who also struggle with it, here’s a tip that I like to use: if you see something you like, and there’s no risk of it going away any time soon as is with most stores, wait AT LEAST a month or so before buying it. Taking that month really helps to get over the initial rush of “Omg I want this SO BAD” and to reflect on whether that product is actually beneficial to you. This can apply to all sorts of stuff too, not just clothes!

I one hundred percent AGREE! Over the past two weeks, I've actually wrapped a neon scrunchie around the base of the hook on 3 hangers in my closet- to signal me that I haven't worn that piece in a long time or haven't worn it at all, so I need to try wearing it that week.
Last week I enjoyed wearing 2 of the pieces, and donated the third one to charity! 😃
